Thanks for your words @Faithy they really helped! I think I am feeling better today, as you say, even though they are words they still hurt, but anyways I just take this kind of stuff and try to be stronger.
@Siana1 are you seeing a GP? Maybe you should? Me I've found out that the less I sleep the more vulnerable I am to beeing even more depressed and just explode out of nothing... Dunno, maybe is a good idea you get some meds or have you tried like yoga or smth to relax and sleep better?

THanks Aria.
Actually there were 2 interviews in 2 different churches. They went really well and I really enjoyed it. Had quite a few people come up to me and ask me about how I became free. Even at the last Interview, one of the co-speakers asked me what I had done to become free.
I'm feeling a growing need to write a book about it, but the time isn't right yet.
Aria. Sorry you had a really bad few days. Aria, give your 'friend' a kick in the nuts and ask him what makes him so special. then say to him, you don't deserve a girl as good a me and delete him from you 'friend' list.
Don't look to people to give you confidence and affirmation, because people will always let you down. There is only one source of LOVE.

Aria. I'm so pleased that you were helped and are feeling better. The truth is that when people say unkind things, it is always about what's going on in them and not the person they're firing at. And, if we're feeling negative about something in ourselves, their words will confirm that negative in us, making us feel more wretched. There is no exception, it's always true.
I think we've all been guilty of this at one time or another but knowing how potent words are can give us the much needed insight to see those firey darts for what they are. Words from a hurting soul.
Siana. Please don't suffer in silence. Seek out some help. Depression is a foul experience that affects us in all ways, emotionally as well as physically. But it is one that can be overcome. It doesn't 'feel' that way when we're in it, everything looks bleak but there is a way out but please get all the help you can.
Freedom. I'm really interested in your posts. I confessed Jesus as my Lord and Saviour in 2011 and was an immediate love affair. My faith is being tested at the moment as I am suffering from a bad bout of depression. I know God is in it and will bring me through but goodness it is hard. I have had two close family members pass away in the space of a year, so there is a lot of grief there. I actually think depression is grief.
All the best everyone and many blessings to you all.

Hello, aria. I'm going through a difficult time right now. I stopped taking Mirtazapine as they weren't helping so am going through another withdrawal. This is the third withdrawal in a year. It seems antidepressants just do not work for me. Keep hoping and praying for strength to break through.
How are you? I hope everyone is winning the fight.
Blessings.

My anti depression meds only work for a few months then my body rejects them and i feel even worse and more depressed than ever. Surly there must be a way out of this hole without relying on medication

I was on 60 mg of fluoxtine and Zoppies as everyone seem to be calling them, I came off them quiet quickly as I could already feel the draw to them, and didn't like it, I now use Doxylamine Succinate, an OTC Sleep aid, it is non addictive, and is a class 1 anti histamine, which seen as I am anaphylactic is a bonus, but they gave me my life back, I was sleeping for 90 minutes at a time then awake for hours for 4 years, before I found these. I only take half a tablet and sleep 15/20 minutes later and I don't wake unless I am woken, and feel far more refreshed than I did on Zoppies, and I find it is a choice to take one not a necessity. as a massive bonus, it also helped with my depression as I wasn't completely zombiefied .
I reading your stories about the pull of them once you start taking them, makes me understand why my gp would only give me 7 at a time, but it was too expensive to keep getting scripts as I had to pay for my meds, the Sleep aids are £17 for 2 bottles of 90 and if your like me and only need half that a years supply or more depending on how often you need them, I only take them once a month or so now, they really helped me get my sleep pattern back after only a week, my body had already started to know that it should stay asleep, it doesn't happen all the time, but it is much better, although I am nervous as my Neurologist has asked for me to be started an amitriptyline at night for pain and to aid sleep, had anyone got any advice on that ?

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

How is your depression treated? And which medicine works the best? Unfortunately there can be many side-effects when taking these meds, what are your experiences?
All the best,
Marina
