Why is it strange? Its all bullshit anyway. I've mostly stopped the risperidone but take the sleeping tablets so I dont have to think but they don't always work. Sick of it.

@Niamh1 It does sound like the combination that you are on are making you feel like a zombie . If the effects are that bad you really need to ask about alternatives .

It doesn't always work because I said " you only have half hour to get to sleep after you have taken it before it wears off " ... that is why you should ask for an alternative . Things will not get better unless you make changes

This was an alternative unfortunately.

I understand the need to make changes. That is all I have done for the past year. Thanks.

I searched for many years before I found the medication that has helped me . I would go back to my GP or Psychiatrist and explain how you feel . Mirtazapine would help if you could tolerate it , but considering the medication you are taking now , I would not have thought you would have problems with it . the trouble with fluoxetine is that it can make anxiety worse ... Mirtazapine is a calmer , it will do the opposite . You can only try your best . But I would never give up until I found something that I can live comfortably with

Fear has become my main experience of late, ranging from anxiety to sheer terror. At times I disappear into myself and go away at other times I've run away. I get in and out of the bath to feel the warmth on my skin if I get home. I take sleeping tablets to escape, though not for long. I can't connect with things. I don't know how to gauge things anymore. I don't trust my own mind because it's let me down. its difficult to live with.
