@piratethumb200 Hello piratethumb200, thank you for sharing how you're feeling with us. I think many of us have also been struggling with our mental health in these difficult times. Let me tag some other members who can potentially share their thoughts and advice with you.
Hello everyone, how are you today? Have you ever felt like you were spiraling into depression? What did you do to get out of it? Do you have any advice or resources to share with pirate thumb?

@piratethumb200 I completely understand what you mean. It's easy for us to get bogged down and for our thoughts to spiral when we're basically cooped up at home and when the world feels a bit apocalyptic when we do go out.
I don't know if this will help you, but what has helped me recently is cutting off the outside noise that's making things so dark. So no social media, no telly, no radio, hearing about all the bad news, deaths, predictions, politics, etc., all that just raises my anxiety so I shut it off. Instead I try to clear my head, there's a nice forest not far from me, so I try to go there for a walk a few times a week to get out the house and "clear the cobwebs" and I write in my journal. Getting my thoughts out on paper helps.

I feel if I write down my thoughts the image of me being some kind of monster will be like written proof just a bit nerve racking as I've never asked for help till now like

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

AmbassadorLizzie when we loss loved ones some people are expecting to grieve in the same way with each bereavement, and are even more upset because they dont. this can be for many reasons, for example it could be the age of the loved one, how close you were to a certain person, how well they physically or emotionally knew a loved one. or lastly some of us may never have met a loved one for many reasons. or if physical events had taken place ,and a loved one could not be viewed by family and friends
this happened me was because, my son and i parted with bad blood between us, and when his baby daughter was born , and died age 50 minutes i was banned from attending her service or internment, her name was Rebecca Jade, but i called her Becky, and i bought her a small headstone and i go to her grave at least once a month with fresh flowers. i will always love my grandaughter, but possibly not as much as my Angel wife or son, who took his own life.?

Living with anxiety and other mental illnesses
Suicidal thoughts, not coping, how to get treatment without carrying out my plans?
