Hope your able to breathe a wee bit better now Richy, Ido know how debilitating asthma is, both my father and a close friend suffered with it, mine is very mild. Really willing you to reach out to Breathe Easy groups that may be in your area, failing that badger your doctor for a referral to any sort of therapy that will help you. Don`t take no for an answer. Do some on line research for the area you live in, there has to be help out there for you. Have you got a plug in air cleaner for your bedroom, if not one may just help.
Take it easy today but don`t give in or up its not what your lovely wife would want you to do. Sending a hug

Richy maybe it's what we do and eat and drink in our life, that leaves people like us far behind? Makes the others create a job and to benefit nothing but themselves and then try to give us advice? Is this not feked up in it's self?

I for one don`t think that Lee, we get left behind because other folk don`t realise what`s happening to us, they can`t see an arm or leg in a sling, so your perfectly fine to them. Opening up is very very hard but its the only way in the end to one, help yourself, and for others close to you to begin to understand what your going through. Its only by talking that folk out there even begin to know there are other problems than you can physically see and also understand that physical pain can and does affect your mood, and can send you into a world of your own where you are the only one who understands you. Thankfully, there are now more chances to get to talk to councillor but there are still not enough of them to go around. Life is a lot harder for some than others, add a disabling condition to the mix and your bound to get knock on problems. This is what needs to be understood, just because you look okay doesn`t mean you are. Here`s to all of us having a good day today

Hi Sophie, It must have been a very dark, hard time for you recently. My heart goes out to you. I too suffer from anxiety /depression. I have a tendency to be a bit obsessive on the cleaning /germs approach but being in housekeeping on a professional level hasn't helped. Thankfully, my colleagues understand. I just take the light hearted attitude to it and tell them that " I have my standards and won't drop them for anyone" I refuse to let it worry me. Remove yourself from stressful thoughts regarding your OCD ; walk your dogs; anything to remove yourself from those "callings". Try and relax , don't beat yourself up as you will be letting the illness win.
In the depths of my depression ; following the break up of a 30 year marriage my dog helped me through. She helped me during those horrible times night and day and so I completely understand you.
Use this group to your advantage. Make friends with people on here as you are never judged, just listened to and supported. Communicating will help you to get through to were you need to be ;happy and content.
Take a little by little, day by day approach.
Sending you big hugs . x

Hi SophieBen. Your recent bad experiences and happenings in your life mirror some of my bad times in the last few years. I totally sympathise with you. And i agree that pets can be a huge comfort in these circumstances. I have two cats as my work shift pattern does not make it practical or fair to have dogs even though I love dogs. As far as your OCD goes, its where you seek comfort in routine that can make immense difference in the way we cope with everyday issues. It also sounds like you are still grieving for your losses which is perfectly ok and you will take as long as you need to go through the grief to come out the other side a stronger person with a greater self respect. Im sure we have all been in situations where we feel lost and alone. And im pretty sure we all relate to it in our own ways. Im not going to flannel you with cliches and phrases, it will take you all the time you need to get through your trialling times. Its a time that you will reflect on and learn from. Im willing to chat anytime you need to. This helped me immensely and im sure it can help you too. Best wishes for the future, its yours for the taking.

i recently found out i have got carpal sindrome and arthritis on the hip, i am diabetic as well sometimes with hypos. I find it very hard to balance with my right side of leg and i just fell in the bus whilst i stood up. i take it very easy with my diabetic medication and i eat lighter meals now with veg and fruit yogurt. i nearly 50 year old.

I feel alienated from everyone else. Its strange but I feel like Im always the one who is 'different' and doesn't fit in. This leads to anxiety attacks.
Ive felt like this since I can remember, never fitting in with kids at school. I got trapped by alcohol and drugs to try and fit in but I got through that when my son was born and seemed to give me something to keep going for. But he's now nearly 11, very independent, he's fantastic, but doesn't need me so much so the thoughts are coming back that everyone would be better off if I were not here. I know that seems selfish but my brain and body are fed up with the ache and pain and having to try to be 'normal'.
I will never do anything to end my life because of my son and girlfriend (the one who slipped through the net and actually likes me).
Sorry to go on but this really helps to get things out of my head and written down to someone.

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

Hi, I'm new to this, not sure I'm doing this right, but I'm suffering with the most awful feelings of dread and depression.
