I am on hormone injections every 3 months and casodex tablets for a term of 3 years with 1 year left.
I have been told by doctors that i should be clear for 10 years after treatment.
Hot flashes and overweight and feeling tired are the norm ,Roll on august 2018.

Everybody seems to have different ways of treating it, I have been told that the PSA reading will rise and that I will have to have the injections again in around 18 months time. The other side effect I found was the lack of interest and the inability in having sex.

Been on Prostap 9 months and PSA now 0.2 Surgeon talking of a break in treatment soon. Hot flushes and tiredness and a little weight gain but mainly notice loss of body hair and a thickning of body parts that should really show more weight gain than I have. Needed to go from 36 inch to 38 inch waist. Hot flushes were 12 or more a day and tried sage supplement but did not really notice any difference. Treatment every 3 months and think hot flushes less towards end of the period. Prostaectomy in 2006 and PSA went to 10 in 2016.

I have been on Prostap for 9 months, (3 injections), and have put weight on, mainly on my upper body, lost hair under my armpits and on my stomach. I also get real bad hot flushes, about twenty a day. My PSA was 19.6 at the start of my treatment and a couple of injections later it had come down to 0.1. Then I had radiotherapy (twenty sessions) and my PSA is negligible. I have asked the doctor if I can come off of the Prostap and he agrees, so I am just waiting for that to get out of my system before trying to lose the weight and get normality back into my life. I suppose then it is a matter of regular PSA Tests and then going back on Prostap if it rises. I still pee quite often in the night though, hopefully this will improve in time.

I had Zoladex implants for over a year and my PSA has come down to 0.7 so the consultant took me off it but I have to have blood tests every three months. That is the only treatment I have had but looking at some of the other comments where people have had radiotherapy and their PSA is down to 0.1 in some cases but they are still on their treatment I am beginning to question whether my consultant has got it right.
