I remember I had a panic attack while in hospital, because I hadn't had a cigarette for days, and decided there and then, I was quitting smoking so I wouldn't go through a panic attack again. So it worked out well for me,

My daughter takes them really bad when she gets them thankfully not for a while and I just need to talk her down and tell her to breathe.
A friend years ago took one in her work so I got a brown paper bag and told her to rake slow, long breaths and just to breathe.
I myself remove myself from the situation and just take long deep breaths in and out.
However if they are quite frequent it's worth visiting your GP. YouTube videos can also be a helpful tool.

@Somya.P When you’re in the middle of a panic attack, I guess little can be done because everything feels overwhelming, perhaps the best way is to adopt the mindset of “what’s the worst that could happen” and oftentimes the worst is unrealistic and isn’t as bad as one thinks it is in the middle of the panic attack

Suicidal thoughts, not coping, how to get treatment without carrying out my plans?

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

Hello everyone, how are you doing?
Panic attacks can be overwhelming, and many people with chronic health conditions or those going through stressful times experience them. They can happen suddenly and bring on intense feelings of fear, racing heart, sweating, or even dizziness. Understanding your triggers and finding effective ways to manage panic attacks can be incredibly helpful.
Do you experience panic attacks? If so, what are your main triggers, and what techniques help you manage them? Have you found breathing exercises, grounding techniques, or other strategies that work for you?
