I also suffer with Generalized Anxiety disorder among other things. It really is a very difficult illness to live with i know that first hand. It's unbearable at times because like you have said ''you do not know what to do at that moment'' You have to try and find strategy's that you can keep your mind focused on, like for you your children is a huge focus. Maybe have a friend come over regular to sit with you to distract yourself from all the negatives.. Easier said than done i know! I do not have nobody except my cat hence why i got her as family told me she would help distract me from the negative moments. does not always work but sometimes. and rest of times i have to try combat the GAD and other symptoms using other methods like chatting on gaming sites or using skype chat or whatsapp just to break the chain of negativity or from me loosing the plot and breaking apart, or worse going off the rails. If you ever need a friend to talk about this can always contact me. i am mostly always around as with one of my diagnosis i am rarely out.

thank you!! I rarely go out too!! My partner struggles with me sometimes because I just can't go out because of my ibs . My anxiety sets it of and then I'm constant pain thru it! It's a bloody nightmare I can plan to go out anywhere because I never know of I will be well that day. I do a lot of gaming too and adult colouring that keeps me entertained for a bit x

Try to be mindful, sometimes when you feel like you are "circling the drain" it is good to go and do some reflecting. If things get too much or you feel everything crumbling, go and lie down, close your eyes and breathe. No need to think about anything but how your body is feeling. Finding your centre and peace of mind can be like a breath of fresh air when everything has been overwhelming.
I also game and it really does help to take your mind off it.
Anxiety is a bitch, if you feel like you are getting panicked and stressed try to clear everything out of your brain and stop, remember...nothing is an emergency unless someone's life is in danger...

I carry no baggage now, but do understand Greed can only equal people like us also desires, plus this is why I try to say. This is not the answer for peace for all our kids more like a select few. Hence 1% run the world..

Hi there,.. I feel for ya Gem , our grandchildren where taken under an EPO last year. Its a nightmare as grandparents have no rights. But we keep fighting to get to see them. Their mother is unhinged & father devastated by lies. Don't hit the bottle But get all the help to apply for another child arrangement order & keep applying while getting yourself mentally and physically fitter. The rollar coaster is a rough ride .
Depression is taking its toll on me & my hubby....Tablets help to keep me stable from the lows-Highs. I do try various strategies to keep me from diving to deep ...
Any way Gem .....Seek support from all areas & question EVERYTHING to enable you get better knowledge to be clear and focused on your path .
Take Care

Please don't resort to alcohol. My new partner turned to alcohol to hide his emotional state. He is now in hospital after suffering a breakdown. He thought that he was coping with a bitter divorce + a terminal illness. He wasn't. He thought that I would turn him away and it was a sign of weakness as "real men don't cry'. I have been down a very dark path due to depression; emailing my penfriend daily helped me . She never judged and always supported me. Accepting professional help is a must. Try not to look too far ahead at the moment; day by day, little by little. Get professional help and always be honest/open with them as they are not mind readers. If it helps write a list of how you are feeling and show it to them. Anything to distract from drinking. I wish you well. Take care.

Living with anxiety and other mental illnesses
Suicidal thoughts, not coping, how to get treatment without carrying out my plans?

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

I just don't know how to feel at the moment, I recently found out that I am only allowed to see my two children twice a year, after an SGO is made, my kids have been put in long term foster care basically and only get contact 2 x a year. I'm a mess and don't know how to react, trying to stay away from alcohol, (sat with a glass of wine). its better than what I would normally do, which is go straight out and get a strong spirit. I'm trying to hold myself together but I can feel myself bubbling up, been very emotional the last few days I'm get that 'f*** it attitude' again adnt hats when I start going off the rails ! HELPPPPP x
