Living with anxiety and other mental illnesses
Suicidal thoughts, not coping, how to get treatment without carrying out my plans?

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

Hello everyone,
How are you all doing today?
Depression symptoms can manifest at the most inconvenient times. It can be difficult to know where to turn when your friends are asleep, your therapist is unavailable, or your significant other is at work.
If you find yourself in a crisis and require immediate support, there are many helplines available with trained professionals who are ready to lend an ear. They provide a confidential, non-judgmental space and can assist in clarifying your emotions and thoughts.:
Samaritans – available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on call 116 123 (free from any phone), email jo@samaritans.org and in person.
Samaritans Welsh Language Line – available 7pm to 11pm every day on 0808 164 0123
SANEline – available 4.30pm to 10.30pm every day on 0300 304 7000.
National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK – available 6pm to midnight every day on 0800 689 5652
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) – available 5pm to midnight every day on 0800 58 58 58.
If you live in England, you can also call a local NHS urgent mental health helpline for support during a mental health crisis at any time.
In Wales, you can contact NHS 111 and select option 2 to get through to an NHS helpline that offers 24/7 urgent mental health support.
These helplines can also send a crisis team to your house if necessary, which makes it crucial to have these numbers on hand in case you or someone you know requires emergency services.
If you prefer not to speak on the phone, you could try the following text/chatting services
CALM webchat service
Shout – available 24/7, you just have to text SHOUT to 85258
Please take care and stay safe,
Somya from the Carenity team
