Yes........ it is one of the side effects of the meds, but you also need to know how they work, I had it explained to me that they flatted all the emotions out, causing a numb like sensation, so you don't get the lows but you also don't get the Highs.
that being said you still get a variation within a smaller range, but because you don't get the highs like you remember it can bring you down, as it seems like the meds aren't working very well, I was told that isn't the case, it is that they are working, but they may need adjusting often lowered, as your body has started building up its reserves, and it is the meds that are then making you low.
Might be worth asking your own GP, I have used this as a golden rule, and it has worked for me over 20 years, anytime I have got low, I then find myself getting restless, like something is holding me back, I come of the medication to see if I still need it. (always with the Drs approval)
Hope this helps

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

I've suffered with depression all my adult life it might have even started in my teens! But been on medication full time about 4/5 years .... I still get spells of low even when Im taking my medication, it's been quite bad last few weeks, more lows than highs . But I'm fighting that fucker!!!!!
Anyone else have the same problem while taking meds????
