Try and get him to go outside even if is the garden .i no is easier said than done but staying in bed makes you more depressed but its so hard to get up .my partner makes me get up sometimes and i feel better for going outside. When my family text me saying i love you it can make me more depressed and sometimes mad . I dont know why .have you been around his place . Maybe going around with some dinner .dont talk about feelings just sit next to him and watch rubbish telly .sorry if doesnt help is difficult .different things work for different people .

Suicidal thoughts, not coping, how to get treatment without carrying out my plans?

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

Hi ... My other half has depression and anxiety (and has medication). His ex-wife also has depression and recently checked herself into hospital. He has a 16 year old son (unfortunately this happened on the weekend on his 16th birthday) and now he doesn't want to stay with him. We do not live together. He's withdrawn very much lately, hates everything even more than usual and no longer wants to be around. I have been sending text messages of love to him, so that he sees that I love him and want to help him through this. I've said I am going nowhere and want to support him. Sometimes I feel like I have to tread on eggshells as if I say too much he goes underground on me.
I love him very much and want to do whatever I can to help him ... please ... does anyone have any advice / guidance for me? Lots of love to all reading ... Jx
