Good morning Stargazer. I hope that your son is soon feeling better. Why do you feel like you are failing him? Spending time with him whilst he is ill will do more for him than you can imagine. He won't feel alone/frightened as we all know how frightening it can be being ill. He will feel loved /comforted with you there .
Children are really resilient and it is often us as parents [ I have 4] that feel so terrible. How often do you hear a parent saying that " they wish that they could take away their child's illness? It is natural to feel useless, but it is one of the horrible aspects of being a parent. Don't let it beat you up. Brilliant news that you are coping well again. Stay strong + positive.

Suicidal thoughts, not coping, how to get treatment without carrying out my plans?

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H
