It all depends on what is best for you in the long run. How badly do you want to study again? And do you think it will make life better for you in the future? If you feel that you can be strong for long enough to complete a course and you feel motivated and passionate you should go for it, but if there are serious doubts just how likely is it you may have to pull out?
I started studying an access to higher education course back in September, and whilst I haven't been away from my family I have seen them very little and had less time to focus on them, now I am off to uni end of this year and it is scary, but I have to keep reminding myself this is MY future and it is what I am passionate about (marine biology btw). Your family will always be there no matter what, distance can be scary but there is always strength within yourself to push through.
As an extra tip, one thing that has really helped with going back into education (its been 5 years) is to remember not to put too much pressure on myself, it is important you take time to do the things that relax you and focus on being mindful. Meditation, yoga, cooking and being creative are all hobbies I have used when the studies feel like they are taking over a little too much.
Balance your time well, remain strong and you can do anything. xx

Life is too short to have regrets. Go with what you yearn to do. Don't put obstacles in your path. I wish you well in your studies. I gave up a good career that I loved to raise my wonderful family + be there for them. Years on + following a harrowing marriage break up , I ended up very depressed , anxious wondering how I would manage as he had total control in our marriage. Life has a strange way of coming up with the unexpected. As one door closes another one opens. I was offered a wonderful opportunity working with people with disabilities; I have never looked back + more doors have opened. Please don't give up on your dreams

I take each day as it comes, try to have a focus for that day. Today is pretty good, but it gives me a nudge every now and again. H

I am pretty indecisive at the best of times but I need your help, views, support anything to help me come up with a solution. I work with animals and I am a qualified technician but I had a relapse last year and had to pull myself away from the situation I was in. Which resulted in me moving 200 miles away from my family and starting my own animal boarding business from the house my husband to be grew up in. Now, I am starting to feel more myself I have the pull to study and better myself again and there is a college that does the course I am interested in in my town. But I have a big emotional pull to go back to my family. Has anyone been in a similar situation etc. Could you tell me about your experiences/outcomes.
Thank you in advance
