@Izzyjamal That is terrible about your family, so they don't know how sick you are? Have you tried contacting them?
I hope you're having a god day today!

🤗🤗🤗Good Afternoon Lovely Friend,
I am feeling really “crap”, I have another Chest Infection. It was really warm here and then it went freezing and windy and rain....
Yes my Family know!! But they were after my Dads money... But no problem as “the one that laughs last laughs better...”
And how are you?
Hugs 🤗🤗🤗

Do you have any care system set in,like carers coming 4 times a day to help you with getting out of bed, your medications, help with lunches put you to bed at night? Are you in a house with stairs or a bungalow or apartment? Sounds like you need a lot of help and do not have much of it. Are you registered with social services and district nurses? I hope you have all of this in place. You say you have a very good medical team, so I assume that they have arranged all this for you. Very sorry that your family has broken ties with you. At a time like this you need your family more than ever. Do you believe in Karma? What goes round, comes round. May the good Lord look up on you kindly.
God bless.
Christina

@nineteen_gale Good Afternoon Christina.
I am all alone!!! Manchester City Council left me down My Social Worker doesn’t even bother to answer the phone.
I do everything by myself clean the Flat in my own time! Can’t use the Stove as I shake (symptoms) so I failed the assessment. I use a Special Kettle and Microwave!!!!
My Medical Team is up side down with MCC and my SW!!!! The best is that I will not ever be affected on my neck above!!! I survive thanks to my knowledge as I was a Nurse for 30 years!!!
It is despicable what I have to go!!! But I fight!!!! I already lost my patience with MCC and SW and was quite rude!!! Not bothered!!!
But the sun is shining so that’s what I need -small things!!!!
But I WILL NOT GIVE UP UNTIL I HAVE EVERYTHING THAT I NEED!!!!!
HUGS 🤗

That is a great shame. I am an experienced nurse of 57 years, and am disgusted how the Manchester council have let you down. Can our GP not organize any help for you.? Usually they do arrange for District nurses to call on you, but it seems you are more in need of social services rather than the District nurses. Would you consider going in to a council run Retirement Residential independent live in, where you can purchase a care package and there are carers on site ? There are quite a few about. There are some in Stoke on Trent.

@nineteen_gale @Izzyjamal That is a really good idea, it does seem like the medical system is thoroughly letting you down. Keep at your doctors and social services, it isn't right for someone to be treated like this, especially after dedicating 30 years of your life to nursing!

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!
