Hey Chris!!
I feel ur pain love, but all that medication sent me loopy!! Gabapentine and lyrica both made me crazy, amitryptiline in high doses can also cause weight gain... I haven't lost all the weight I put on with them yet but it's slowly coming off!! I've been talking nineteen gales advice and trying to switch to alternative remedies, adding turmeric to things, coconut oil etc, dunno if it's working tbh but taking medication all the time is wrecking my brain so I'm trying everything!!!
keep your positivity ur main focus, I remain to be very positive and although it doesn't take away my pain, it helps me keep things in the day and enjoy making new memories that don't involve pain!!!
Keep ur chin up buddy xxx

Hey guys.
So my recent pain therapy yet again didn't work... so they're going to try Botox injections into the muscles and veins surrounding the tumour in my brain. Has anyone had this done or know anything about it?? I'm willing to try it obviously but there's very little info about this anywhere.
Thanks in advance

Even 150mgs is too high a dose. You need to get off it as quickly as you can. you are damaging your brain with such high doses. I was only on 10mgs and even that sent me loopy. They are addictive too. i dropped Gabapentine and Amitryptillin 2 weeks after my Spinal surgery and have never looked back. it was the best thing I ever did. The weight dropped off me within a short period of leaving off those 2 culprits. Please try other natural remedies such as Yrmeric, Ginger, Fish oils Glucosamine Sulphate, Devil's Claw.Bromlain etc. Eat plenty of fresh pineapple. It is rich in Bromlain and very good for Arthretic pain. of course exercises are extremely important. Never leave those off. Another most important thing is to have a very positive attitude. Amazing what you can achieve when ou have a positive attitude.
Good luck

I was prescribed Pregabalin several years ago to treat drug resistant Epilepsy. Made me tired and drowsy, poor seizure control. I'm now taking Epilim Chrono, Brivarecetam and Clobazam. Better seizure control.

@Sunshine5 ... I was put on Pregabalin in March after having hyponatremia caused by Oxcarbazepine.
I am currently on 100mg. twice daily. It does make me tired, and irritable at times and I still cannot fathom whether there is seizure control. I am on sodium chloride at the same time (6 tablets daily) to keep my sodium level normal and have to control my fluid intake. I recently went 2 weeks with no focal seizures, then 2 days of clusters. I have since gone 9 days now free, but still not sure if it is working. I find I am hallucinating occasionally during my sleep, and wonder if this is a side effect.

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!
