This wet weather plays hell with my condition, had right hip replacement, waiting for left.Heat is best treatment i have found.electric blanket for my back, hips ,knees and ankles.Hot water for wrists or spend an hour in a hot bath as hot as body can take. And forcing myself to move 1st thing in morning, but with all this i still hill climb on a motorcycle.

Hi every one.
I take Glucosamine Sulphate, MSM, Omega 3 and Cod Liver oil amongst many other supplements, but still suffer from a lot of pain with OA. I eve use Glucosamine sulphate cream o both my knees and fingers of one hand. When I was o Celebrex, my OA was well under control. Then my GP suggested that I came off them as the Media Reported that several patients taking Celebrex were having heart attack. So I took myself off them. I can not take any Codeine based drugs nor Naproxen or Ibuprofen. I used to be on Viox which was good but again it had the same reputation as Celebrex and was taken off the market. Is there ay one of you out there been on Celebrex for a long time? I would like to know. I also have Hypertension and Heart murmur, hence the reason I came off Celebrex but my Arthritis is worsening by the day and am wondering if I should risk and go back o Celebrex. Can any one shed any light on this? I will be very grateful. Thank you.

Hello all,
I did post some time ago about the use of Flexiseq. This gel has totally changed my life ! just wondering if anybody else has used it or indeed tried it. I have recommended to 6 people and it has worked on everybody. Perhaps it might be worth a try. Good luck.

I was taking Meloxicam with Omeprazole but the doctor has since stopped the Meloxicam as this affects the stomach, which is has, but am now taking Paracetamol/Codene Phosphate when needed. A bit depressed at the minute as I am try be positive with constant back and foot pain due to fusion in both these areas. My reason for the pain killers, as and when, it bothers me as I don't know if these cause stomach problems
Any comments and help would be much appreciated.

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!
