I take Gabapentin (Neurontin) 300mgs x 4 daily. The help with the muscle spasm and twitching, but do not take it away completely. I have Fibromyalgia so I don't sleep without them and they also help calm the Restless Legs. They do make me drowsy, some of the side effects are annoying, but without them I'd be an absolute zombie. I also take Cocodamol. I really don't like the side effects from the pain pills but I cannot move or manage without them. Staying hydrated is a MUST when taking these meds. Hope this helps and good luck to you.

My head is spinning with what my robotic rheumatologist told me. He sees me as an experiment, he is not interested in my views or what I have personally witnessed with the toxic drugs he wants me to take. I have had osteoarthritis since my 30's and was give co codamol and to be honest I coped on this however like others constipation is an issue. I was diagnosed with RA this year, I take hydroxychlorquine but am reluctant about other drugs because I have widely researched bone marrow and I don't see it as a solution, its just something that holds a remission and then seems to cause other issues and you have to stop taking it and are back at square one with other problems. (This has just happened to my friend 3 years of treatment problems with cells now and treatment stopped, pain resumes) I take naproxen when the pain is bad and one tablet last me minimum two days. I took Panadol extra and for some reason that has also worked. As we are all different what works for one, may not work for someone else but mu objective is to be pain free and not be adding other health issues.

I should've started with health. Ok I have fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, bulging discs in my neck, bone spurs mid back, sciatica, costochontritis, copd/asthma, mgus, damaged kidney, tmj, migraine, acid reflux, essential tremor also awaiting results of new mri as last time I was advised I have multiple white matter lesions and extensive selection pontines lesions.
A bit controversial perhaps.. but I'm slowly changing my Pharma drugs to natural. Currently taking cbd oil capsules, tumeric with black pepper, vit c, bee pollen with royal jelly and propopolis apple cider vinegar*braggs) and aloe vera juice. I am a now able to stand up straight. Which for years I haven't, as I always stood with a stoop until a few steps, then I slowly straightened. I'm not pain free but it's only been about two months. But if I'm getting any relief it's got to be a bonus.

I feel for you all , im sorry but I do find this very depressing as you all seem to be in competition with each other, I was in the same boat but I looked at myself first weight was a major factor so with determination I lost weight a lot of weight which improved my outlook on life started taking my dog out for walks then bit by bit wormed myself of painkillers and tried greenlipped muscle it takes a bit of time for it to work now I dont need painkillers and boy do I feel so much better I am 70 so not a spring chicken, How many of you could really try , have a go drugs are addictive the more you take the worse it will get I had been taking drugs for 5 years I was becoming like a vegatable going down the slippery slope, Give yourselves a xmas prese and bite the bullet and try

Hi folks, I was on Naproxen for my arthritis, which made my life a lot easier as I was so stiff. my doctor has taken them off me now and told me to take 8 paracetamol, which does not do anything for the stiffness of my joints, and I think that seems too many to take because of liver complications associated with paracetamol.

Fibromyalgia is a poor excuse for under treatment of under active thyroid. I would get my thyroid checked out and don't take TSH as gospel it needs free T3 and T4 to get an accurate result.

Hi
I'm sorry cant remember who but they said they get stomach bleeds from anti anflammatories {bobcaz??} Were you taking a stomach liner at the same time? You should have been.
I cant take tramadol......they make me loopy or as my husbands says LOOPIER!!!
Anyway I do take naproxen and have to take another tablet to counteract the bleeding the can happen

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!
