This is @Madnan 's original post:
<< I'm really confused about DLA/PIP and Attendance Allowance for over 65's. I had forms through Friday and they are PIP with no mention of Attendance Allowance which my husband used to receive but it stopped when he was 65. I receive DLA now which as you know is changing to PIP but the form is so daunting, I'm very anxious, Stressed which is causing deep depression, especially on the build up to Christmas which I dread as I suffer social anxiety. The form has to be returned by 16th December.
Nystom, do you think we have same forms, or are yours headed something else? I really understand the pressure your under, I have many physical and mental health problems, practically leaving me housebound as I can hardly walk either.
I would really appreciate any help or feedback on these forms.
really hope your all having a pain free day as possible, hugs xx >>

Because funny enough our society/neighbours just don't care, for me the reality is never worry about DLA/PIP. Worry about the decision and sometime as humans we need to man up to help too.. :) As everyone wants a life after all.. What I mean is we have less technology so we can support the elders..But no we want to give our kids an xbox or what ever.. I just don't get it why create an xbox to create human suffering?

Over the past few days I heard on the news or read somewhere that all recent attendance allowance applications were either being refused or frozen. This came from David Cameron

May I suggest to anyone having problems with PIP as opposed to DLA? That finding out the earliest date Symptoms became known by you- perhaps attended doctors, hospitals? Maybe had tests or scans ect before you Reached 65? Proving a cause or symptoms already present before age to change PIP. Do not give up easily as if proven will be backdated or treated in retrospect.

I found the visit to my house very daunting and upsetting felt like a criminal. Cried through most of the interview. Have had rheumatoid since 28 now 59 only claimed 5 years ago when I became a widow have lots of other issues. They dont see me on a day to day basis and the hurdles I have to overcome. When she left I thought thats that I would have to appeal but it turned out all right and I was awarded the pip. Next time I will have someone present with me. Sorry to have a rant.

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!

HI,
I'm really suffering with my osteo arthritis, it's present in both hips; my knees and ankles. I also suffer with advanced spondylitis. Also have B12D Pernicious anaemia . Mobility is my problem; and some days I cannot walk more than a few steps.
The attendance allowance form is laborious and repetitive in it's requests for information.
I'd prefer to write an Essa on how disabling this is.
Anyone else filled out the Attendance allowance form? Only applies to UK residents..
Thanks in advance for any replies..
