I have a bipap machine bi level positive air pressure this is in the class of non invasive ventilator as my sats dropped to 24 percent when I was undiagnosed if I had not already been in hospital for a pulmonary embolism I wouldn’t be here my bipap has saved my life and I would tell anyone with sleep apnoea to keep at it. Maybe try padding the straps at the back if it’s hurting your neck but mine doesn’t really touch my neck only the back of my head

@Daisydef @robjmckinney Thank you both for the advice. I think he's going to talk to the sleep and see what other options are.

@Courtney_J I used to have dreadful headaches waking up and a sore throat, probably from the snoring, and of course I was a wreck throughout the day. Always falling asleep if I wasn't staying busy. And of course my wife couldn't stand the snoring, she'd either spend the night whacking me from time to time to wake me up, or she'd go sleep in the spare bedroom. It was terrible on both of us. I think it takes a lot of patience for the partner of someone with sleep apnoea, and thank goodness my wife had it, she was mostly concerned for me and my health. Now i make sure to always wear my mask at night and it's better for both of us, I can breathe and sleep at night and so can my wife.

@henrick My partner has the same thing when he doesn't wear his mask. He just changed for a new one so things are getting better, but he's almost always wakeup with a headache and in a terrible mood.

Sometimes, adjusting your sleeping position can alleviate symptoms of sleep apnea. Your healthcare provider might recommend sleeping on your side or using special pillows or devices to keep your airway open.
