Thanks for the update. It is shocking about the epilepsy medication. Yes, its true that the pharmacy can not issue any medication that has not been authorised by the doctors. I do hope and pray that you do not suffer as a result of no medication for 2 days. Re blood results, mine came back the very same day, as I was rushed to the hospital and admitted as a day case to have investigations. So I was discharged at the end of the day with the blood test results and commenced on Steroids the very same day.
I had a letter from my surgery to say that I am at very high risk of Diabetes type 2, as the Steroids sent my blood sugar soring. I will be put on a program called healthy you, where the educate high risk or newly diagnosed diabetics about healthy eating and healthy living, eye checks and foot care etc that goes with the Diabetes. In myself, I am not feeling too bad at all. It has not stopped me from doing anything that i was doing. So far so good. Let us pray that it may continue to be so.
I also had an appointment for CT scan of Pelvis and Abdomen to check for cancers and severe weigh loss. So its all go. I do hope you get sorted soon and your blood results may not show the abnormalities that mine has shown.
Love and God bless. Take care and stay safe.

Have you checked with Corona Virus Vaccine hub or department re having a flu jab whilst awaiting for blood test results? The flu ones will be going on for a over a period of some time. I suppose its too late now if your appointment is tomorrow. Perhaps you could go for the appointment but raise the question when you are there before you have the jab and see what they say. As you have not got a positive blood test results, there is no way of knowing if you are safe or not, to have the jab, Not many people in the shops or public places wearing masks any more. I shall continue to wear mine always in public places
Wish you good luck

@nineteen_gale... I finally got my blood results today, and got an 'all clear' so thank goodness all appears to be alright.
Sorry to hear about the Diabetes diagnosis but glad you have CT scan etc coming up for pelvis and abdomen. Keep us posted on the results when you have them.
I also queried the prescription today with the practice and they advised me it was done for the pharmacy late yesterday. I'll check with the pharmacy tomorrow after my flu jab.
Please look after yourself and hope testing goes well.

So happy to hear that your blood test results are all normal. You must have had your Flu jab today. How are you feeling?
I will have to change my CT scan of Pelvis and abdomen, as they have given me a late afternoon appointment at 15.45. None of us are comfortable driving in the dark any more. I will ring on Monday to see if i can get it changed to a morning one. I am staying stable and not doing too bad. Hope I don't get affected with much of the Steroid side effects.
Had my eyes checked out Yesterday. Good news there. No sign of Glaucoma, Cataracts are not advancing much and the pressure in my eyes is normal. I am relieved. Also waiting for an appointment from the Ophthalmologist regards the biopsy of the Temporal Artery. Will keep you posted.
Much love hugs and prayers.

@nineteen_gale... Its been a hectic day today. Both my husband and I had our flu vaccinations, and my husband got the shingles jab at the same time. I've got a sore arm and am tired, but otherwise no serious side effects.
My doctor apologised for the inconvenience caused with the mix up of my prescription. Luckily, I got 3 weeks supply today.
I hope you're able to change your appointment time for the CT scan with no problems. I'm glad to hear all went well with your eye test, and keep us posted as to progress with ophthalmologist and more.
Wore my mask most of the day in town, on the bus and of course at the doctors. I do get frustrated when I see people not wearing them especially when the city is so busy and there's such close contact on the streets and pavements.

Thank you lesmal for your message. Glad that that are no serious side effects of the Flu vaccine and the Shingles for your husband. other than sore arm. Also glad that your medication got sorted for 3 weeks. Yes, it frustrates me too when i see so many people not wearing masks particularly in busy shops and streets.
Yes, i will keep you all posted regards my test results and my progress. I am still losing a lot of weight even with large doses of Steroid which is very concerning. I am a mere skeleton now with bones sticking out. have not had the suggested medication for Osteoporosis yet
Take care and stay safe

i found out on Friday that a member of a support group that I am a volunteer wish is not having the covid19 vaccines and nor are they going to have a flu jab. therefore for my own health and safety . i will not be prepared to work with them personally and i will tell my bosses that i will not work with them, or anyone else who hasn't had the covid19 or flu jabs unless they are medically exempt
i am not prepared to put myself and my health at risk because someone will not have any vaccines and has told us that they dont care about whether other people will be put at risk because of their actions???

@mr chipps... I totally agree with you regarding this issue.
My husband and I were discussing this issue just recently regarding my return to doing voluntary work in the near future. I also have made the decision that should I be expected to work closely with anyone that hasn't been vaccinated, I will also pull out of my volunteering role. I am not prepared to be put at risk either 'cos of others actions.
Let us know what happens once you have spoken to your relevant bosses.

I've been thinking about this since I had my first jab 3 weeks ago.
I see many advantages in continuing to wear a face mask ~LESS pollution, less bugs leading to chest and other infections, lowering the risk of any other nasties getting in my system and finally not having to smell other peoples bad hygiene.
The disadvantages ~ facial expressions can't be seen (although this also has its positives), can't can't smell candles, new perfume etc. Saying that though it it's not compulsory this isn't really a major problem.
