I am certain that Because i wasnt able to get face to face contact with my doctors my high numbers for my type 2 diabetes were not discovered. it was only when i went for pre surgery blood tests for cataract surgery that it was found that my sugars had risen to 24. 3 so now i''m taking some strong medication , which hopefully maybe reduced over time. as i had been taken of medication for my type 2 diabetes many years ago and just having 3 monthly blood tests
But now because i am having 3 monthly blood tests for PSA , thy will also be doing blood tests for my diabetes and PSA. I know that if i had been given face to face meetings with my doctor , when i mentioned several of my symptoms , they just kept prescribing medications that were only half helping, but face to face meetings and examinations would have diagnosed my symptoms and discovered my diabetes levels were high
i am actually taking over 22 tablets and various gels and creams for several health issues, so i must be costing the NHS a fortune every month, but i have paid my dues and am still a taxpayer , like most people!!!!

@nineteen_gale ... Thank you... I've had blood tests now and they told me to phone in next week on Tuesday or Wednesday for the results. I presume by ESR level you're referring to Erythrocyte sedimentation rate, which is what the doctor requested on the blood test? I don't understand all their medical jargon but did a Google search to find out more. In the meantime, I'm taking Panadol for the pain.
I also complained to my Neurologist about my epilepsy medication which I've been on for 3 months now. This made me extremely tired, irritable, and depressed, and he agreed to reduce the dosage and wean me off the medication. Just to get through and speak to an epilepsy nurse took me over an hour of holding on the phone line waiting to leave a message on Friday last week. I got a call back on Monday from the nurse and it then took her 2 days to speak to the Neurologist before I got an answer. Once again, telephone conversation only; no face to face!

Les, being a nurse myself, I knew that my symptoms were serious and I insisted on Face to Face. My GP knows that I am a very experienced nurse, and does listen to me and has everything checked out. It is is only with my persistent request for a Face to face, and managed to get seen too within 2 days.
Yes, holding on to the phone for nearly an hour especially you are a caller number 33 in queue. It is very frustrating, more so, when your battery goes down and phone gets cut off and you have to start all over again. Now that you have got the ball rolling, I am hoping you have a smooth and speedy transactions

@whitecross1955 I am with you 110%. I have not and will NOT ever allow that vaccine in my body. I also do not wear masks--unless its mandatory, like in a Drs office. People need to allow their own immunity power to work, and wearing masks [This content has been moderated by an administrator].

for me wearing a mask has become second nature , therefore i will continue, wearing a mask as long as i feel the n.
i will also continue to ignore posts by anyone, who i consider is not posting in the best interest of the majority of members. as we all have our opinions, but no one has the right to try to convince people that ,because they personally wont have the jabs or wear a mask, they have the absolute right to convince others to follow their decisions,
To me this site is here for the benefit of all members and not for antivaxxers and others who don't trust what the government and medical experts are reporting . what happens in another country is not always relevant to what is happening in England or other member states

@whitecross1955 ... How can you use the term 'little Hitlers'... Did you ever fight a war??? Many people did their time. This is basically slandering the site, and it would be interesting to know if you did, as your comments are always so arrogant and disruptive.
Exactly what @mr chipps has pointed out, some of your links, etc. are not relevant to England, and other countries, as they have been posted from elsewhere. I'm not surprised that Admin has to moderate your comments as most of these are irrelevant and just cause animosity between members, which is obviously what you enjoy when dictating and getting your point across.
Don't bother to respond either about my moderating your comments, as I am not an Admin on this site.

I've been thinking about this since I had my first jab 3 weeks ago.
I see many advantages in continuing to wear a face mask ~LESS pollution, less bugs leading to chest and other infections, lowering the risk of any other nasties getting in my system and finally not having to smell other peoples bad hygiene.
The disadvantages ~ facial expressions can't be seen (although this also has its positives), can't can't smell candles, new perfume etc. Saying that though it it's not compulsory this isn't really a major problem.
