Terrible when people are mentioned by name and respond, some say that I mention other countries not prevalent? yet one other member lives on the island of Ireland. [This content has been moderated by an administrator] Freedom of expression

Hello everyone,
How are you doing?
Over the last few weeks, there have been a number of arguments on some of the discussion threads. Despite multiple messages posted by myself, reminding us all to be respectful despite our differing opinions and warning that sanctions could be taken to limit the personal attacks, nothing has changed.
As a reminder, Carenity is a forum for sharing where comments must be respectful. Faced with the continued disrespect that some have expressed towards others, the Carenity team has had to make some hard decisions and take certain actions. This is supposed to be your forum where you can share with one another openly and safely about your health and other topics, so we don't take these kinds of actions lightly.
We therefore ask you to respect the choices we have made.
As I've mentioned before, health is an extremely personal topic and we can have our own opinions, but Carenity is not a place to force our opinions on others or guilt them if they have made choices that are different than our own. This goes in both ways, whether you are for or against the vaccine, if you prefer tea or coffee, whether you think the glass is half full or half empty.
Again, please keep your exchanges respectful, or we will have no choice but to take further actions.
Take care,
Courtney

hi Tigger I am do pleased for you that at last you are getting some medical assessments and possibly treatments . I know from my own health issues that falling over and feeling dizzy can be scary.
I also know that if we get an answer to a problem, even if its not a cure, we can learn to ac cept it and live with it
When I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and type 2 diabetes at the same time , it wS scRu, but over time and with treat I learnt to accept and live with them
The same is happening with my prostate cancer, the more my blood tests come back normal , the more I can cope and worry less??
So Tigger here's hoping the the audiology and other departments can help you in many ways . Sending a hug to keep you strong . Mr chipps x

@Tigger.co.uk ... I am so happy to hear you now have an upcoming MRI scan, physio, and an appointment with the audiologist in the near future. Even if a cure isn't found, may they please find a solution to make you more comfortable. I'm pleased to hear also you are having your flu vaccination on Saturday; hopefully, you won't feel any side effects from this.
Looking forward to hearing more from you about any results... Hang in there and keep strong!

@Courtney_J Thank you for intervening to help make the forum more respectful to all members. As you stated, health issues are very personal and many have different opinions, but Carenity is not the site to force these onto others.
I am grateful to you and all the Carenity Team for the work you put into the Admin of the forums, the content of the site, all relevant health topics, articles, and information, for us all to communicate and gain valuable knowledge from one another.

@nineteen_gale... Just an update... I've tried for days now to get my blood results, and am told they haven't yet arrived. In the meantime I've been given an appointment for my flu vaccination on Saturday 2nd October which I queried but was told to keep the appointment.
Due to my Neurologist reducing my dosage of one epilepsy medication in order to wean me off it, there's confusion over a repeat prescription and dosage between the doctor and the pharmacy, which has led to no medication being issued this week after being ordered by my pharmacy . I requested emergency medication today for the weekend but the pharmacy advised they cannot issue without authorisation from the practice. Even after phone calls and much frustration, I still don't have the meds so now go a couple of days without. I just cannot believe the blood results would take 5 days and more!
Hope you're feeling a bit better and that the steroids aren't having too many side effects.
I was in town today and still many people aren't wearing masks. I wear mine on public transport, in the shops and in public. I will continue to do so and follow all the rules.

I've been thinking about this since I had my first jab 3 weeks ago.
I see many advantages in continuing to wear a face mask ~LESS pollution, less bugs leading to chest and other infections, lowering the risk of any other nasties getting in my system and finally not having to smell other peoples bad hygiene.
The disadvantages ~ facial expressions can't be seen (although this also has its positives), can't can't smell candles, new perfume etc. Saying that though it it's not compulsory this isn't really a major problem.
