i had my 2nd jab over 2 months ago and am still wearing a mask, when required in doors
i went to Scarborough last week end and we had to wear a mask anywhere outside our room , except in the dining room it was beginning to become very tiresome. but we still did it . i am hoping that when we go next year , most things will be back to normal and we can enjoy armed forces day again?

I'm going to still wear mine, right up until there are no cases in the world, even when I'm able to get my 2nd dose (thank you ocrevus 🙃). My partner, after having his 2nd, is still wearing his. I find though, when I'm heading out, I go over a little list: phone, mask, purse, keys. It's so I don't forget anything 😂. I made it up after using "phone fags, lighter, purse, keys" when I worked for the Colonel, at the Kentucky Factory of Chicken, and it's still ingrained in my brain!

Yes I shall keep my mask on in crowded places, which I will do my best to avoid any way. It’s a curtesy to others to show I care about potential infections.

Yep even though I’ve had both my injections I’m still going to be wearing a mask. Better to be safe than sorry, although someone I know had both her jabs and ended up poorly with Covid-19. But still it saved her from hospitalisation. And same with the flu jab I have every year, I’ll also be having the booster and pneumonia Jab as I have just come out of hospital with double pneumonia.

Yes. I will most certainly continue to wear a mask in the shops or crowded places. I am double jabbed, but only a few days ago I have been diagnosed as having auto immune Disease, Polymyalgia and Temporal Arteritis Rheumatica for which I have been started on very high dose of Steroid which I have to take for 2 years. Hence I am going to be immune supressed and very vulnerable. Has any one got this disease? It is all very new and i am very frightened. Will be grateful for any information on how you are getting on with it, will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you

@nineteen_gale... Sorry to hear about this diagnosis. I've just done a Google search on the subject and wonder now if this is why you were having such bad headaches after the covid vaccines also?
I visited my doctor yesterday with severe neck, lower back, knee and outer thigh and calf pain. He's currently checking now for an auto immune disease. I'm having blood tests done on Thursday.
I presume the steroid they've put you on is Prednisone?
Take care and sending lots of love and strength.

Thank you. Yes, I wondered that myself. Not having had a face appointment there was a considerable delay in the diagnosis. It must have been going on for a 4 months. it was only at my persistent demand to have a face contact that action was taken the same day and I was sent off to A&E. sent . The diagnosis was made on the Blood test. Normal acceptable ESR is 35 and mine was 88. and i had all the symptoms of severe left sided neck pain shoulder, arm back, weakness in muscles and pain in long bones and joints also fitted in with the diagnosis. Yes, it is Prednisone 60mg daily for a month to begin with. Got a first appointment with the Rheumatologist who will then take over my treatment . I am supposed to be having a Flu Vaccine on Saturday, but am advised against any vaccine whilst I am on high doses of Steroids. So I will not be protected for fly nor Covid Booster. What a mess. I am truly sorry that you are having these symptoms but glad that you are having the blood test done Thursday. Please ask them to tell you what your ESR is, as that is the determining cause of the Autoimmune disease. I pray that yours is negative. Please keep me in the loop, we are in this together. Good luck my friend.

I've been thinking about this since I had my first jab 3 weeks ago.
I see many advantages in continuing to wear a face mask ~LESS pollution, less bugs leading to chest and other infections, lowering the risk of any other nasties getting in my system and finally not having to smell other peoples bad hygiene.
The disadvantages ~ facial expressions can't be seen (although this also has its positives), can't can't smell candles, new perfume etc. Saying that though it it's not compulsory this isn't really a major problem.
