Dont think i subscribed on site since bieng on so hi to all
Let me introduce myself i am Ken 60 year old had this horrid disease since 94 started in legs and now in back and neck been also diagnosed with ostiperosis in middle spine been on baclofen not done much to help so have had to increase my dose now making me quite dizzy altough i like that most times nowadays with rest of meds i take for other problems. I did have accupunture therapy few years back seem to ease but when spoke to gp last didnt think much to idea of me having it done again.
I do as much exercise as i can walking wish o could walk dog but she tends to pull me making it hard so i walk with my son in town and on good day onto the seafront as i live in blackpool and 5 mins away from beach love to go swimming worse time i most get is night time cramps in my legs and getting up out of bed my back tends to pain like hell as i lay on back cause of chest problems

as for exercise, I wish I had done it earlier but last month I started doing Tai Chi which you can do at your own pace and as easy as you wish to. it helps because of the exercise and motions(strenghthening muscles). I have also enquired in various places as regards stem cell surgery but up to now have not received any replies. have had osteo for 25 yrs now, back, knees, shoulders and just lately finger joints. hot bath helps.

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!
