Hi Stuart
Yes I have also been taking turmeric for nearly a year now. After being diagnosed with spinal stenosis I was in pain when I walked for more than 5/ 10 minutes and most days i was taking 6/8 cocodamol a day. I started buying turmeric online and it wasn't instant but gradually the aches and pains got less. Recently I ran out as I forgot to order them and the pain came back after about 5 days. As soon as they arrived i took a double dose for a couple of days and the pain disappeared! I'm now convinced of the power of turmeric, I feel better in myself and although I will never be able to walk miles i can lead a fairly normal life. I would say to anyone, give it a try it works for me!

This is an interesting topic and thanks to @stuartloz1 and @Evie48 for getting the ball rolling. Does anyone else have experience with Turmeric? What are your experiences?
PS: I should add that you should consult your physician before commencing any herbal treatment

I also use turmeric and have done so for sometime along with cbd oil and find that they help with pain. I also take up to 8 co-codamol a day, but try not to take too many a day as feel the more natural way is helping my body in other ways whereas the later is more damaging. I am also on pregablin, vitamin D, and B12

Turmeric works wonders for me. I was told y years ago that I needed a TKR. I started taking Turmeric supplements as well as making my own Golden paste and drink it every night. I am happy to say that I still have my own knee, even though it hurts when climbing down the steps, at least its manageable. I vouch for Turmeric. It has to be good quality Turmeric, pure and Organic though.

I've been taking turmeric for over a year now, I had a full knee replacement 4 weeks ago and had to stop taking it 2 weeks before the operation, I could soon feel the difference without it. If you are thinking of starting on turmeric go for one with a high level of curcumin as that's the active Ingredient, I use Simply Supplements they are a good price and if you subscribe you get 10% off

I also take Turmeric from Simply supplements and some times from Nature@s Best. I also take Turmeric milk with added Black pepper ginger and Olive oil. The website Turmeric for health suggests that the supplements should only be taken for a short period of time, 3 months, and that it is more advantageous and safer to take a Tea soon full of Turmeric in Golden milk with added Black Pepper and fats such as coconut oil or olive oil, or Golden paste. The recipe is on their website.

I used to have Turmeric capsules also others. But all stopped at diagnosis of Aortic aneurysm. I was made aware by specialty company received from as safe to still take. When it is your heart or body driving force take no chances. I certainly don’t.

@Jontt44 I can understand wanting to take no chances with your health. Did you notice any benefits from taking tumeric?

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!
