Do you have some advice for our member? Do you often experience shortness of breath?

I suffer from emphasemia and i get short of breath very easerly now, i am only on 1 litre oxygen and find it difficult to recover from breathlessness the only advice i can give is turn your oxigen up for 1 minuite and then turn it down again also if you dont have oxygen ,i bought a deep breathing exerciser from EBAY it is a pink plastic mouth piece it cost just £1.30p english money and it helps me a lot, if i want to move about i stick it in my mouth you will be surprised how much this little gadgit helps me its worth a try PS i bought a spare one at the same time, babs evans hartlepool UK

I suffer with emphysema, it started just after I had my radiotherapy, I already suffered with asthma, but since having breast cancer ,and having my radiotherapy, I now have emphysema ,I have to use salbutamol, seretide, and now I am on another inhaler you have to put a pill in and press a button to activate the inhaler ,also I recently had to go into hospital for chest infections ,I was coughing and spitting up phlegm, I had to use my stand by antibiotics and steroids, but when I went in hospital I had horrific pains in my chest, they put a canola in and injected saline and antibiotics in I had a chest x ray was taken to the ICU ward ,then when my blood pressure and temperature was ok I was sent to the recovery ward, then when everything was ok I was discharged, but had to go and have a high intense ct scan because I still have the cough but they are keeping regular checks on me I had loads of blood tests but now they say I have liver disease I am having to go back to my surgery for another blood test and blood pressure check also later this month I have to see my oncologist and chest specialist I just hope and pray my cancer hasn't spread as I am very worried I am trying to stay positive but it doesn't help my anxiety that is getting worse I am really feeling down all the time now but I have to try and stay strong for my family I have a wonderful husband and he helps me with everything if it wasnt for my family I wouldn't care if I didn't exist ,but I have to stay strong for them .

@Benjam23 Hi Benjamin. I suffer from COPD and the breathlessness restricts everything I do. I am attending pulmonary rehabilitation at the moment which they say is one of the best things you can do. Haven't found much difference yet but I will keep going. Good luck.

Hello,
Recently I feel like I am even more out of breath than usual...even walking up the stairs has me gasping. I feel terrible...anyone else experiencing really bad breathlessness? What did you do?
