Hi Ann!
Is it radiotherapy for BC?
I had radiotherapy in 2014 on my right chest wall. It was not like some radiotherapy (to the head for instance) where you may have to be more enclosed. You have to stay still, but the bed was not enclosed and there was no sense of being hemmed in at all! The staying still with arms over your head for 10 minutes was the worst part! Hopefully you'll be fine, but it's always worth talking to the people in the department about your fears - hopefully they'll be able to allay them!
Good luck!

I had radiotherapy in 2014 too. You are not closed in at all you have to have your arms above your head and hold that position whilst the machine works round you. Radiotherapy at first seems to have no effect on you but as the treatments go on you start to have burns which is why you must use the creams they give you. In my experience the staff are wonderful and any worries you have they will help you with.

I start my first day of 25 days of radiotherapy tomorrow, a bit nervous but looking forward to the end of it. Is e45 a good cream for me to use after sessions.

Hi Debs7899 I would check with your team about the hair colour or if you have a good hairdresser they should be able to tell you what you can or can't do.

Hi Niki45 I didn't use E45 as I found it hard to rub in as the area was tender, I used aqueous cream. I found this very easy to use as the cream is soft and very ease to apply without rubbing it into the skin. This can be use as a soap also, hope all went well today best of luck with the treatment
