Coping with Diabetes

I think you need to go back to who prescribed meds and say how they not working for you, there are so many other tablets like Metformin etc, its just lazyness on doctors behalf sometimes, remeber your the one living with issue dont let them bully you hun

Sorry to hear your medication making you feel worse. I am on the same tablets as you are, have been for last 4 years and have no side effects. Go back to your doctor and let him know, we are all different.  Hope you do.

Please tell your GP about the side effects, and insist that he/she does something about changes to your medication, you do not have to put up with side effects that are making you tired and ill. It is your body please please do tell your GP. Diabetes is very difficult to live with, I know that it is hard and it does make you feel very lonely sometimes but please do not let diabetes take over your life try to keep smiling good luck with your GP. 

Metformin long term can affect your kidneys I assume you go to a diabetic clinic and give a urine sample if this assumption is correct don't worry your doctor is monitoring you but if you arnt giving a urine sample you need to have a chat at clinic.

As for dizziness this can be normal on drugs for instance if you have ever smoked you might remember having dizzy spells at first and when you got hooked the dizziness went away.

Can I ask you please have you read the leaflets in your tablet packs??it is your body and I know its a bind but taking drugs reading the leaflets is a must and you should try to detect which drugs are causing this on Metformin the white leaflet will tell you that you can suffer dioreaha for instance.

If you have new drugs please read the leaflet BEFFORE   YOU TAKE THE DRUG.ive had these episodes and have had to sit down!! ive also had shaking effects from drugs.

When you take statins Ive had experience where the top of my body has ached so much I couldn't dress the top of myself and I had to go on different statins.

Its ok of course to check at your clinic for dizziness but please read the leaflets to see if you can pinpoint the drug that's doing this.

If you are being sick this is a serious problem because you might be rejecting the drugs you need for your condition meaning you arnt getting the drug you need or you are taking more and potentially overdosing your doctor can proscribe anti sickness pills to keep your drugs down.
