I have my second Jab this Sunday, felt rubbish for 2 days after first but hoping it will be ok this time. All the females in my family have had side effects whereas the men have been ok. Something experts might like to look at . Have a lovely day all

Well just booked my wife's and my second jab for next Thursday so finally should be fully covered for our return to normal life. I am concerned if there are short term side effects as I am on my hols and will be returning for one day at my home for this second jab. Plus of course we are isolated in Norfolk from our GP so any complications requiring medical assistance will be an issue. We are both old and vulnerable so any flare ups and other issues do require hospital visits at Kings Lyn NHS who are not the best in the world. Perhaps too many 'negative vibes' as we were both okay with the first one, stay safe!

having severe headaches is a common side effect of AZ vaccine. Don't know which one you both are having. Also shivers chills and generally feeling un well. They all pass within a few days. Obviously if they don't pass and you are not fit for driving back, you will have to consult with Kings Lynn hospital. I had sever headaches 8 days following AZ. it is now 8 days and my headaches continue, although I am not needing to take Paracetamol like I did for the first 4 days. Good luck. Hope you will have no side effects, and. that you will enjoy your break.

Got my date now for my second jab next Wednesday morning cant wait then I shall feel more safer when going to my appointments at my hospital, have to see my breast surgeon, fracture clinic, and my respiratory clinic now because I have fractured my collarbone they are having to give me much more stronger painkillers, as I am very badly bruised all over my breast cancer side and on my lymphoedema arm .Tigger

Yes it is AZ did have a few headaches etc. but did not relate it to the jab so did not worry about it. Planning to drive back straight away to my entire summer away until winter and life back. Although it is annoying that most resturants are closed still as now Covid has been downgraded and we should be back to normal in the UK. I do take many types of pain killers for my many other medical issues so always on such things all the time. Hope you are well and stay safe, time to get our lives back!

Thank you for your message. Enjoy the summer and have a good time. My husband got rushed to the hospital this afternoon after I called NHS 111 and had a video chat with the dr. He took one look at him and he said that he is sending an ambulance right away. He is 84 with a few medical issues and a Cancer survivor. He looked ghastly white and had severe shivers and could not stop shaking and the temperature of 40.2 I was not allowed to go to the hospital and am not allowed to visit him either. He is still in A&E and after all the test results are back, he will be transferred to a ward. I pray he comes back home safe to me.

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.
What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?
Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!
Take care,
Courtney
