No not taking it when it's still in trials till 2023. Plus I've been vaccine injured before and it effected my bowel in such a horrific way and I was in hospital over 6 months with vomiting and diarrhoea, flu and dehydration and excruciating pain. So it's just my own experience that is putting my right off. Sorry this isnt intended to annoy anyone, but it's your own choice.

Hi, I will be 66 in a few weeks and refused the vaccine in the age group 60 - 69 200,000 people in Ireland refused the vaccines, untested vaccines with some of the vaccine companies fined millions of dollars in the U.S for bribery and corruption. Doctors and professors struck off the medical board for asking questions. I do not trust pharma companies who have highjacked science, they manipulate statistics to their own ends and selectively withholds the negative results of trials, putting peoples lives at risk With vast sums of money at their disposal they have managed to turn lies into truth. Not a very popular view on here as I have been attacked before for sharing my views Getting a vaccine that does not stop me from getting the virus, or spreading the virus makes no sense to me. Every person has to make up their own mind.

Lindashavey i do not blame you at all for not taking the vaccine. You have a valid reason after the experience you had with your previous vaccine and you are right to be cautious. You have to do what is best for you
Take care and stay safe.

Well it seems that only 3% of people catching the new Indian variant have been vaccinated, so the evidence is clear we have reasonable protection. So we don't need to hide under the sheets this year and can get on with our lives at last. So the NHS is saved, those that can get your vaccine, the rest may have to isolate, stay safe!

First in the queue and couldn't wait to be vaccinated. Not wishing to get embroiled in the politics but my opinion is that qualified and expert epidemiologists have not all signed up to some sinister agenda to put the world's population at risk - Covid-19 did that far more effectively.

Can't wait to have my 2nd vaccination on 1st June... Everyone to their own thoughts, but must admit I don't agree with some of the comments, especially when our Doctors, Specialists, NHS, and Pharmacies are run down by people who think they know the profession and assume/think they can do better.
@whitecross1955 To those that live in Ireland, you're welcome to your choice and your decisions; the roll-out of the vaccination process is still so slow there, compared to here in Northern Ireland. I'll stick to my plan and follow my Doctor's and Neurologist's advice, together with my own intuition, and after having done my research.
@Lindashivey I fully understand your reason for not wanting the vaccine due to your past experiences. Please stay safe and healthy.

Given the treatment that I’ve had, I’ve accepted the ‘flu vaccine (which ALWAYS makes me ill for a week) and had both shots of AstraVenecca. I was chomping at the bit. As my immune system is pretty low and I’ve shielded “forever”, I was determined to accept.

@lesmal It is great that you are doing so well, thankfully you had no reaction to the vaccine. Irish health authorities have updated their guidelines on negative vaccine reactions to include mental status change, seizures or leg swelling,
In their latest report for May 2021, the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) have updated their guidelines on negative vaccine reactions to include “mental status change (e.g. confusion), seizures (fits) or leg swelling”. This is in addition to the existing list, which include severe or persistent headaches, blurred vision, shortness of breath, chest pain, leg pain or persistent abdominal pain,
unusual skin bruising or pinpoint round spots beyond the site of vaccination.
Vaccine recipients are advised to seek medical attention if any of these signs/symptoms
are experienced within 3 weeks of vaccination. The product information for COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen has been updated with the above advice, and a similar update to the product information for Vaxzevria® (Astra Zeneca) is expected.
This update comes as Belgium said it was suspending vaccinations with Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine for people under the age of 41 following the death of a woman from severe side-effects after she was given the shot. The woman – who was under the age of 40 – died on May 21 after being admitted to the hospital with severe thrombosis and platelet deficiency

@whitecross1955 Thank you for the update, but I look forward to having my 2nd jab tomorrow. I had a sore arm and muscle pain with the 1st, but no serious side effects.
I've had seizures/epilepsy for 47 years now, together with other health conditions, and the side effects from some of the medication we get put on for epilepsy, have similar and worse reactions. I've actually stopped one of my medications due to this and it makes no difference to the seizures. They still occur. Finding a compatible combination of meds is what counts.
I'm also on Aspirin for life after brain aneurysm surgery in 2019. This is to prevent blood clotting and touch wood, treatment is working well.
Nothing will stop me from having my vaccinations ie flu and/or Covid, and I will continue to wear my mask as and when appropriate, ie on public transport, and my lanyard in supermarkets etc. until the time is right and I feel safe enough to stop.
Wishing everyone a great Monday; stay safe and healthy!

Hello everyone,
How are you today?
The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany) announced on Monday 9 November that their vaccine candidate is 90% "effective" in preventing Covid-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trial, which is still ongoing.
What do you think about this? Do you plan to be vaccinated as soon as the COVID-19 vaccine is on the market?
Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!
Take care,
Courtney
