yes I am worried I will stop in lockdown whatever Boris Johnson says, I feel lifting this lockdown is being done too quickly and also carelessly, I will keep isolating and waiting to see what happens in the foreseeable future, I suffer with asthma and C.O.P.D I have been classed as vulnerable but only last year I had to take several courses of steroids for chest problems, its very worrying for everyone this lifting of lockdown sounds very reckless.

@Bridge67 yes I do agree what you say it is being treated like a postcode lottery, and how can people who are vulnerable resume a normal lifestyle with this dreaded evil virus hanging over there head, we need a vaccine to reassure us we have some form of protection.

@Morven13 Hi, I live in the south east but like yourself I am very worried about coming out of lockdown so quickly and very carelessly I would say, I myself will stop in lockdown I don't have much faith in the way this virus has been handled at all.

@witch2 I don’t Understand why people would travel far. There’s nothing much open. Unless there’s no garden centres where they live 🤪. 🤷🏻♀️

@Laine56 my heart goes out to you. I would love to see my grand children and Son. Heart breaking to get so close and not touch them. People where I live are breaking lockdown left right and centre. It’s so unfair!!

I will be carrying on in the way l have been. Going to shop every 3/4 days and sitting l my garden for 1 hour a day to keep my serotonin levels up. It is too early and another 3 weeks would have allowed time for testing to be up and running for those going back to work. The government should have planned to get tests out to everyone they could, so that the spread would have been contained by ppl isolating.Kneejerk responses are dangerous and managed pro-active measures should have been firmly in place, before sending out such confused advice for this next stage. There will be a spike because the mentality of staying home will be lost by many and harder to instill a second time. Some were already breaking protocol. I live on the coast and my friend had rang me last Thursday and said the beach was very busy. So after Sunday nights relaxing of travel restrictions, playing sports and visiting where people wish, those numbers will increase with the warmer weather. I agree totally with the other three nations they are, in my opinion correct. England stands alone and is I'll prepared for the consequences that will come. Late beginning and too early to begin ending. I would not send my little ones back to school it is soon the summer holidays, wait until then but by saying people should go back to work the stress on parents, between the protection of their little ones and keeping their jobs is putting pressure on. It's a mess and no roadmap that should be followed. It is a dead end and waiting 3 weeks more before deciding would have cost so much less in terms of deaths, suffering, MH issues. Financially the cost will be so much higher in all ways. Another 3 weeks would have made the stay at home time we have lived through worthwhile. I fear the contradictory protocol now in practice will simply put us back to start. Check on employment legislation, you have rights to work in a 'safe environment'. Don't accept any less. Take care

Hi everyone, it must be a nightmare for you all in the UK. I am English but live in Bali Indonesia and I am a nurse. We are still under lock down here and the restrictions have been upgraded to isolate our capital city so nobody can enter or leave. Roads are closed, most shops and markets are closed, our clinic is closed but due to reopen in a few days. We have purchased protective clothing etc for all our staff and patients will have to either talk through an open window or if they need physical examination i.e accidents, they will have to wear a mask and clean their hands with hand sanitiser, ( bought at a greatly inflated price ) , We are delivering food packages to the very poor and jobless which is more than half of our small village. I am at risk with A.S. and recently recovering from Typhoid so I will not be returning to clinic work or going out of my home except in the garden. I believe Boris is just testing the water as it were...to see if more clusters of the virus appear and where so that measures can be taken to contain it once again. I think it is too early but understand the reasons for doing it. I am sad that more lives will be lost inevitably....my advice to you all is stay safe, use your common sense and if you feel to stay isolated then do so, your higher selves will be your guide. With love...G

Hello everyone,
If you haven’t already seen in the news, many countries in Europe and elsewhere in the world are starting to discuss or put measures in place to end the COVID-19 lockdown.
In his address last night, the Prime Minister Johnson announced an easing of restrictions regarding the lockdown rather than simply ending it.
The Government has established five tests that will have to be met before considering an end to the lockdown:
In addition, a new COVID Alert System, determined by the R number (the rate of COVID infection) and the number of Coronavirus cases, has been put in place to indicate how strict social distancing measures must be. It includes five alert levels, Level 1 meaning COVID-19 is no longer present in the UK and Level 5 meaning a critical material risk of overwhelming the NHS.
Starting Wednesday, people in England who "can't work from home" will be encouraged to return to work, but should avoid public transport if possible. From this date people in England will also be able to spend more time outdoors for leisure, including unlimited outdoor exercise, sport, or sun in parks. The PM also indicated that starting June 1, England may be in a place to reopen primary schools, shops and nurseries in phases, and hopes that some public places (including restaurants, cinemas and places of worship) may reopen starting July 1.
The Welsh, Scottish, and Northern Ireland governments have indicated that they will not be following with the June 1 date for primary schools. Decisions are awaited regarding the opening of shops and other businesses.
What do you think about this easing of restrictions? Is it too early? What do you think the impact will be on those who are extremely vulnerable or at risk? Do have any questions? Have you had any further information from your GP or medical team?
Feel free to share your thoughts and questions below!
Take care,
Courtney
