Hi, yes fatigue is always there unfortunately, sometimes more, sometimes less. I am often tired especially in the evening and at night when I can't sleep well. I've recently started doing some yoga in the evening and I find it's doing me good for now.

My wife would sleep 24 hours a day if she could, tiredness/fatigue is part of her many diseases including the Lupus. Although she does have energy in the morning for a few hours before her afternoon nap, one of many at different times.

I hate fatigue - I feel like my energy gets sucked out of me . Then at night because I am in pain - now with my back from delightful steroids - I can't sleep in a bed for long periods either / life is great - I am literally trapped by my body

I feel completely exhausted and drained most of the time. Does anyone have any advice on how to help it? Should I just order a caffeine drip? :)

@cassydee I think you need to find the sweet spot of your disease, like my wife who has a little extra energy in the morning and she works around that. Exhaustion returns for all other times of the day and like you resting. For myself I don't do mornings with my diseases so we have no happy medium but do work around our various strengths. With Lupus flare ups there does not seem to be any answer but to rest including bedrest. But my wife lost a few stone on the back of a new drug which is making a real difference to her energy levels. So those overweight can alter the side effects of the disease, even her Lupus rash is showing a little less than usual. Experiment with little changes in lifestyle seems to be the key to see if improvements are made to indicate areas you can improve yourself. Lupus is not going away, all we can do is work with it and treat the side effects as they arise, stay safe!

@robjmckinney for me it's the opp, I'm full of energy AM, do lunch 12~1 & that's it, I'm done for the day. I've taught myself to use mornings a lot more effectively, and also have any appointments AM, so I am wide awake and fully compus mentis!

@KPangela I do most things before lunch then rest in the afternoon. I find something to do, such as knitting, where I can sit with my feet up.
If I just carry on I go worse.

I had a hip replacement 16 months ago due to osteoarthritis. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made. Yes I was not looking forward to everything post op, but I am now 100% mobile and after not being able to walk any distances I now enjoy walking again and I've managed to lose 2.5 stones. Totally pain free and I've had lots of comments about how much happier I look - my face was obviously showing my pain. If you have any questions please ask!

Fatigue is a very common complaint of people suffering with lupus. Some people are tired already when they get up in the morning, others by the time they get home from work.
Are you familiar with the fatigue? How many hours of sleep do you need to feel better? How do you cope with tiredness?
If you have a any tips please don't hesitate to share them with others.
Thanks!
