Hello,

My brother has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer and it has really sent me reeling...I hide how scared I am for him but I feel as if my world has been turned upside down...

How do I cope with this diagnosis? How do I help my brother? I'm feeling lost and devastated

Hello @Jackston‍ sorry you're going through this mate. I believe the PET scan is to locate exactly where the cancer cells are precisely to give them an idea where they should take samples from. Not to worry, I had my PET scan before my biopsy too. Keep your chin up, this is a difficult time to be going through this what with the corona nonsense, but if you stay strong it'll all come out ok. Let us know how your biopsy goes!

@Jackston‍ I had my biopsy in late 2018 and went through a few rounds of EBRT radiation to shrink the tumour down. I had it removed late last year and I'm still recovering. Hopefully that's the end of it, but I may need more radiation to keep it at bay.
