My brother has small cell lung cancer :( He smokes and apparently that is the cancer that is most caused by smoking.

I had collapsed lung and scan to investigate revealed lesion in other lung. This lesion turned out to be cancer T1b NX MX adenocarcinoma. I had the lump removed and am currently having 3 monthly checks (scans). No other treatment was considered necessary. I am 68 year old female never smoked.

I have small cell lung cancer currently receiving chemotherapy and targeted therapy. Smoker yes, still trying to stop the hardest thing, I had three lung biopsies two collapsed lungs absolute agony. This is so they target the right cells.Anyone interested in TCI oil, I asked my oncologist and he told me not to take it. Any comments please.

Mum was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer - unfortunately, the most aggressive kind. We're all fighting, mum included.

my husband was told december 2019 that he had stage 3 adenocarcinoma but they could not offer any treatments due to other health issues ( aplastic anaemia and pnh clone), not heard from any healthcare professional since except his haematologist who sees him monthly. don't know where to go from here. with advoce from pharmacists i work with i have managed to get carbocistein from gp to help his breathing and am trying cbd oil

Hello @trishw ,
I'm really sorry to hear you and your husband are going through this. Have his doctors given you any other advice?
Take care,
Michael

Thank you . No the only help I have had is when I've asked GP for carbocisteine which my pharmacist suggested. Nobody seems to want to take responsibility for his so called palliative care, not that I want anybody taking over his care but would have been nice for somebody to contact us to see how he is coping now that the news has had a chance to sink in and tell us what signs to look out for that the cancer has moved to the next stage

I have Small Cell Lung Cancer, left lung tumour, mass on chest and lymph nodes affected by the cancer, now has spread to the bones. Have had radiotherapy for 3 weeks twice a day, and four chemotherapies. Have spent most of 4 months in and out of hospital - 2 weeks at a time. I was offered 6 x chemotherapies but have now asked for a break from the last two so I can have a holiday without being sick for a change. When I come back they have offered my another PET Scan to compare the one I had at the beginning to see if any progress or improvements have been made and then I will decide whether it is worth carrying on with the treatment or not.

Hello,
Today I thought we could start a discussion about what type of lung cancer either you, or your loved, has. There exists several different kinds but it could be interesting to see which ones impact Carenity members the most.
Thank you for sharing!
