I have smoked a packet a day for the past 50 years . Even after the diagnosis I am finding it very difficult to stop . The tumour has spread from my lung to the lumbar region of my spine causing severe back pain usually starting in the early hours of the morning . I know there is no medical or logical reason but at 3am a cigarette seems to help with the pain until the pain killers kick in .

I gave up 10 years ago, along with my husband. We used a vape for a few months, then we decreased the nicotine slowly to zero. Then gave up vaping. Unfortunately my husband has since been diagnosed with inoperabie stage 3 going on 4, nsc lung cancer.
The tumour is large and close to his heart. 3 infected lymph nodes. He started daily, chemo/radio on Monday and has another 3 weeks to go. Hoping this aggressive treatment will extend his life.

Hello everyone,
I thought it would be an interesting discussion to see which members still smoke, and which members smoked, after their diagnosis of lung cancer.
Do you smoke? did you smoke? How did you stop?
