My Dr put me on 5mg of Ramipiril as when I had my 6 month diabetes bloods done my hba1c was he says 62 (whatever that means) but just for precaution he had also put me on 24hr BP monitor and picked up my BP was spiking so he advised I go on the Ramipiril as preventative to hopefully avoid any damage been done. I have to take it in night time for 1st 3 nights as he said it can make me dizzy for first dose but thankfully it's ok so far. I begin taking it in morning from Sunday. Are you on meds for your diabetes Yolanda? I on 3xMetaformin 850mg per day and 1x Forxiga in morning .

Hi Norm62
I have had high blood pressure for years and have been taking 3 types of meds, Losartan, Amlodipine and Atenolol daily plus 2 types of pills for my diabetes 2, 4 Metformin and 1 Can-something or other daily. Since being diagnosed with the Diabetes my health has deteriorated and I now am also on medication for Angina. I have a monitor for Sleep Apnea which I need to wear all night in order to sleep and also take Sertraline for Depression. I have also been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Despite all these ailments I still manage to enjoy life and some of my best friends I have met through my illnesses. Keep your chin up and make sure you get out and socialize or you could become very isolated as it is hard for those who do not have these illnesses to understand how difficult things can get for you or how you feel. Try and meet with other people who have the same illnesses as you as I'm sure you will get help and advice from them.

Hi everyone, I am new here. Have had problems with my blood pressure as well lately, so been on meds. But was wondering, is it possible to control blood pressure with diet? Is there a link?
thanksX
