For diabetic 2 patient loosing weight is the best option by far if you have a genuine wish to improve your diabetic health. There are now injecting medicines that aid your weight loss that you can discuss with your GP which have produced some weight reduction.

Well said Rob.
I'm Type II and the coronary consultant told me to restrict my fluid intake to 1.5 litres per day, two weeks ago. It's really hard staying within the limit to start with but you soon get used to it. As a result of this new regime I have lost 1 stone 2 lbs (7.25 KG) of fluid. I can breathe easier and move around without so much effort. My Blood/Sugar readings have levelled out to between 4.7 and 8.5 mmol/L. I feel a lot better for the new regime.
Ask your GP about reducing your fluid intake?
STAY SAFE
Regards Richard

Hi Monday,
There is also specific weight reducing drugs that are on offer to Diabetics, try asking your GP about such addition treatment. You can also look at various bands or staples on your Stomach, my bother had one and did lead to weight loss!

Well new diabetic drugs that have a weight loss effect as well as various self administered injections causing weight loss. I did loose a bit of weight with a new drug that forces sugar to pass through the body in your pee, but loosing weight effect has stopped now. I don't fancy the new injecting drug once a week, my brother is using it but it is a large needle and painful, not my choice. So lots of new drugs for us diabetics to try which can lead to weight loss as well as the publicised one's Hollywood stars love are available to us, contact your GP!

Well I got the millionaires slimming drug by tablet no less, I told them I would never go for a large needle, but my brave younger brother does. I am on the lowest dose and not a lot happening but I expect to be upped to the highest dose next month, there are a side effect of stomuch issues but I'e had none. Early days and us diabetics can get 6 months supply, with the 'stars' claiming wonderful things, why not!
