Hello @Nesbbit30, thank you for opening this discussion! I believe many people have been taken off Phyllocontin recently as it's been discontinued. Let me tag some other members who can potentially share their thoughts on this.
Hello everyone, how are you today? Have any of you taken Phyllocontin (aminophylline) in the past? For those of you still taking it, have you also been switched to another medication like Uniphylline (theophylline)? Have you had any side effects from either medication? Do you know if any alternatives exists for Uniphylline?

Yes I have been switched over as phyllicontin has been discontinued started uniphylline last week as just used my last box of the others, I was told by my GP that I need too have my levels checked within 7 days, though at outpatients at respiratory clinic consultant said could be done upto 14 days so going too book blood test tomorrow
The symptoms you are experiencing could be that you may be a. bit more sensitive to uniphylline, not sure on your dosage but have you tried with or without food, if taking 2 tablets maybe take 1 in morning 2 at night until used to it, also check with your GP that you are not taken anything that can counteract with it, even herbal treatments, teas, liquorice can put aminophylline levels up, it is a sensitive drug.
Please talk to either your GP or asthma nurse at either surgery or hospital outpatients
good luck xx
