Hello @Katieoxo22,
Thanks for your experiences. Is the chair the vibrating kind and does it use heat? Could be interesting for other members to know in case they want to try

Hello,
Thanks for your comment. I'm sorry to hear you're doing poorly at this time of year. Do you have any non-medical rituals (heat, warm drinks, meditation) to help you through the cold months?

Hi @philantropist,
Thanks for your questions! Regarding Valerian, we do have an article on herbal treatments that you might find interesting. And of course, if @eugenie has anything to add, even better!
You can access the article here:
5 Calming Herbs to Soothe Anxiety
And just a friendly reminder: even with herbal treatments you should always consult your physician first as some herbs may have unexpected interactions with medications.
Cheers!

i too suffer from some sleepless nights, vick does help at times, but the central heating in winter
does not seem to help, regular trips in the evening for fresh air seems to help, and although not very
pleasant a cold bedroom is best. clearing my chest in the night also helps or just trying to relax my
breathing for a while.

Keep a cool bedroom. The drying heat from central heating really makes things worse for me. Anyone tried a dehumidifier?

Audio Books.
Strange comment I know, but i have found that when I can not sleep I need something to distract me from my nagging aches and pains. I borrow (on line) audio books from my county library. Headphones on so as not to disturb anyone else, after a few chapters I nod off. It is a bit annoying trying to work out where I need to rewind to but that is a small effort just to get some sleep. It seems to ease the pain cycle.
It is worth trying, it may help and it is free!

Hello,
Does anyone else have difficulty sleeping due to COPD? My wife has great difficulty and sometimes, even if she gets 6 - 8 hours of sleep (which is rare), she doesn't feel rested - she wakes up several times during the night.
She also has difficulty going to sleep.
I would appreciate any input or advice.
Thank you in advance.
