I would like my lungs clear to be able to blow my bagpipes again. Although at age 76, I do not think it will happen, but even to be able to walk about and climb the stairs without gasping for air at the top.

I was diagnosed with COPD about 3.5 years ago, I manage it well, it doesn’t impact on my normal daily life, just when I am doing harsh exercise, I believe this is the key to keeping most of the symptoms at bay, remain active within your abilities

@gingermusic sadly eradicating breathlessness is virtually impossible, but with close monitoring and remaining active, you can protect what lung function you have. Initially there maybe a margin for slight improvement.

I was in hospital in march with pneumonia and the breathlessness and cough are still there. I would appreciate anyone telling me if there is anything to take to ease this. Thank you
