Very grateful to Debbie for the advice to register. My doctor told me to isolate the week before the lockdown. Other than that I have had nothing except information on the news. I am extremely grateful to Sainsbury's who contacted me two weeks into the lockdown and have given me a slot every week for my shopping. My DOB was on their data base. I am very lucky living in a village, people rallied round offering services. With one gentleman co-ordinating everything. We even had laminated sheets for our doors to request that deliveries were left outside.
It is hard to imagine how people feel when no one has offered help. Local council web sites often have lots of information. Age concern should be able to provide contacts. If there is a local community care group they have volunteers ready to help, (I was a driver for our local one before lockdown) Silver Line also have people to talk to. If you feel abandoned you must reach out and let people know you are there. Eventually we will get through this and perhaps have made new friends on the way.

I have had 3 letters all from my different specialists I have also received a phone call about my lymphoedema dept the nurse rang me and gave me instructions what to do help with the pain I'm getting I have to keep my arm on a cushion just do light excercise, but they did manage to get me two sleeves but I'm owing two prsΒ gloves so I am ringing the dept to see when they are comming still taking paracetamol for the pain so hopefully it will get easier as having osteoporosis arthritis its painful but I still have to isolate myself for 12 more weeks only allowing me to go out on my balcony wearing a mask and if people bring me parcels have to bring in leave for a while but was my hands after bringing in the packages so I am following the instructions, also I have lost a few of my friends and that is very upsetting as well a losing my pet budgie but I am feeling very depressed not seeing my family and friendsΒ .TigerΒ

If you did not get a letter, did you get a text message. If not then the first step is to speak to your doctor first. You can go online,on the government website and get more information.

Hi there. I received a text this morning from NHS saying that I could open a window but couldn't go outside my property. It also said I couldn't take my rubbish out. I have already been in the house for 3 weeks but am I to understand that I can't even go on my garden now? Have you or do you know of anyone else who has had this text. I am now feeling as if I am in prison?
