Hi. I had 15 sessions of radiotherapy. Got a little red at the site but nothing else. On Tamoxifen...again nothing to report.. Been ok so far with no side effects.
That was for a lumpectomy in 2021.
Recently discovered got cancer in rectal area but separate to the breast cancer. As you can imagine totally peed off. The why me is definitely out there rather than the why not me.

I had radiotherapy in 2014 for head & neck cancer, an appalling experience leaving me with long term issues for the rest of my life. You receive lots of help during treatment and a follow up period for 12 twelve months but after that you are on your own with the many known problems of treatment effects. For example, the massive impact on your teeth, compounded by a failed NHS Dentistry service, destruction of tussue and killing of the bones, Lymphoedema side effects, the list of endless. But on cancers on the more fleshy parts of the body do tend to recover better from radiotherapy plus now they have discovered not so much radiation is needed, so not so destructive.
In the end, I am alive to fight another day and survived the big 'C'. So many can't get on the treatment ladder therefore fall by the wayside today!

Hi everyone. I had 15 rounds of radiotherapy in 2019 for breast cancer.
No side effects. Made sure I did the exercises, recommended.
For anyone starting radiotherapy, I used 98% organic aloe Vera gel. No burning or soreness.
I am on Letrozole for 10 years. Originally 5 years, my surgeon said it was because of recent research on reoccurances. No side effects apart from.'trigger' finger. Love and blessings xxx
