Ive had a mastectomy, and radiotherapy and it has left me with emphysema and lymphoedema and when I had all the tests that's when they said I had low blood flow to my heart. But luckily I could go through all the treatment for my breast cancer, but I have had one year clear but it still causes me to worry as in January on the 3rd I have to go for ano another mammogram, I just hope and pray that it is clear and my cancer hasn't returned, I have lost a lot of friends to this and a lot of my friends it has returned so it causes me a lot of panic and worry as I am rea really scared in case mine has returned as I have to wait 9 years before I get the all clear I am taking anastrozole and that has given me my hot flushes back ,but this added to all the other illnesses I have to cope with it makes my anxiety worse so fingers crossed that January will be good results well my lovely people merry xmas and hopefully we all have a better new year love hugs God bless you all Tiger xxxx

Hi sandie I find it hard to I dont go out much only go out when my husband takes me,or if I go out with a friend or a family member ,I have a rolator to use as I get very tired ,and breathless ,and my rolator has a seat so I can sit down and rest for a while ,I also have a mobility scooter, which I use to go to the beach ,I dont use that only when I am with my husband ,as I dont like using it on my own as I not very good crossing roads ,but I do find that with all my illnesses and breast cancer it makes me feel really tired ,and it plays on my PTSD depression and anxiety I get so upset I still cant look in the mirror because when I do it really upsets me I feel like half a woman ,I do have a false boob to put in my sports bra but it's not the same so I dont bother ,but my osteoporosis, plays up and my arms and legs just ache so much ,I do take paracetamol for the pain ,because I used to take co codamol but that was upsetting my stomach ,so now I just take paracetamol, at night i take amitriptyline, and canderstartan to help but i still cant sleep it used to be 1 amitriptyline but now I'm on 2 amitriptyline to help me sleep but i still have trouble sleeping ,but such is life it's a wonder i dont rattle when i walk it's all pills one for this and one for that ,Tiger

I have just read in the news paper that anastrazole is the best cancer pill to take it stops cancer from returning ,I really hope that is true because, they took me off of letrizole because thay made my osteoporosis pain worse since I've been on this anastrazole I have had lots of hot flushes but it is reassuring to see this in the paper because helps me to be a little calmer ,as I am so scared that my breast cancer will return as so many of my friends have either passed away or has ended up with secondary breast cancer, on the 3rd of January I'm having to go back for my mammogram and I have everything crossed that I will be ok and it hasn't returned as I still have 9yrs to go if it hasn't returned then I will have only 8 and I will be clear for 2 yrs , merry xmas to you all and have a fantastic happy healthy new year xxxTiger

Hi
I had bc earlier this yr, lumpectomy April followed by radiotherapy. All has been fine until 1.5 weeks ago when I started to suffer pain, hot skin, hardening and slight orange peel on the same breast. I'e been to doctor and she eventually said she's refer me to the breast symptom clinic. What is this and why not to the breast clinic I went to before. I'm so worried my breast cancer is back!
