Hi Bubbles,
had a double masectomy last year Ilc. The drains are a pain but they will go. Everything seems like a milestone, I remember it so well. One day at a time, make sure you rest. Consultants are a little lacking in an empathy gene I feel sometimes! I had some bad moments with mine, so much so I became a ' difficult' patient, mostly because I'd done so much reading and was questioning all the time, but I'm 8 months down the rd, just waiting for my implant exchange.
It does start to feel better, it just takes a lit out of you.
Lots if hugs

@Mandi53 hi I had to wait until I had my chemo.. was nearly 5 months! But all done now, radiotherapy is a doddle to have but get some discomfort in the weeks to follow, 9 weeks later I'm still sore? Good luck x

Hi, I am new to the group. I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma on Nov 30. I am totally in shock. The consultant is so blunt & not approachable so feel unable to ask questions. Had an MRI this week, how long until I receive the results? Cannot get in to the GP until 15 Jan. Can somebody please relate?
