The effect of a diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer on work life is different for every person. Patients may have an understanding supervisor, a flexible schedule, and an encouraging team to support them. However, some may have more difficulties. Tell us your story!

How does your (or the patient’s) disease impact your (or the patient’s) professional life?
What difficulties did you (or the patient) have in accessing job opportunities? How do you feel about it?
To what extent are your (or the patient’s) financial options (e.g., access to loans or insurance) impacted by the patient’s disease? How does it affect your (or the patient’s) state of mind?

Hi @LizziB

I did have to take leave without pay to be able to attend all of my appointments. Luckily I was able to continue working remotely which made it possible to still work. If I had to go into the office everyday, there would have been no way, I was too weak. They did have to reduce my workload, there were things I just couldn't manage to finish.
