Hi Ariana, I feel your anxiety but please try not to worry - your mum will be in safe hands. I had exactly the same operation as your mum and whilst it is a long op, the relief when you wake up is worth it. Is she having the reconstruction at the same time? If so, the relief will be bigger because I remember looking down at my cleavage and really not looking very different - it was amazing!!! Pain wise, she will be uncomfortable for a few days to be sure but it is incredible how our bodies heal. Is she having an LD flap do you know (taking muscle from her back)?
