I coped with my diagnosis by not telling anyone. Then it was a need to know basis. I just did not want to cope with people's comments and feelings.

It was a shock but was very comforted that it had only got to stage 1. That was 3 years ago and although it was actually a stage 2 cancer it hadn't spread. So a mixture of surprise, (no family history) and relief. I was in good hands!

Hello everyone,
Getting a breast cancer diagnosis can be a life-changing moment, full of intense emotions. It’s natural to feel fear, uncertainty, and even anger, and each person handles it differently.
What were your first thoughts and feelings when you received the diagnosis? How do you cope with the emotions that come with starting treatment and the ongoing medical follow-ups?
