@bravest Hello bravest, welcome to Carenity and thank you for starting this discussion! This is a great topic, let me tag some other members so they can share their experiences!
Hello ladies, I hope you're doing well! Did you experience or are you experiencing hair loss during your breast cancer treatment? If so, did you choose to wear a head covering like a wig, scarf, or hat? Which did you prefer and why? Do you have any "styling" tips for bravest?

No chemo yet , I will be having immunotherapy before chemo is considered as it is not thought to be very effective in my type of cancer , I hope everyone is staying positive and well x

@bravest @Courtney_J. Hello I think a cap with a scarf under is a really good look but there are some really good sites showing you how to put scarfs on in really flattering ways , a wig is to hot at the minute. I hope this is helpful have some fun experimenting xx

@bravest Hi I have finished my chemo and radiotherapy now and my hair is starting to grow back (white) I was in shock when I lost my hair it was quite long and redhead. . I did cry I will admit because as you say it is part if our identity. I did have a wig but felt uncomfortable wearing it knowing I suppose it wasn't real. I looked online and found some lovely headwear turbans/hats etc at reasonable prices. I bought quite a few to be honest family and friends told me I looked great so I felt good about myself wearing these. I also lost my eyebrows and lashes but used eyebrow pencils/brush and made my eyes up. It made me feel more confident and I went out on social occasions.
Hope this helps
Sara x

Thank you all for responding, it's comforting to know that I'm not alone in this!
@Sara.D I understand that feeling of mourning, I'm going through it as well. I didn't know chemo could affect hair colour! I'm sure you'll be just as beautiful with white hair than with red.
@Lozley1 I will look into those caps! I agree about the wig being too hot, I feel like it might be itchy too in the heat.
Stay strong ladies! xx

Hello,
I've just joined this site and it looks like it's going to be a great source of comfort for me! I'm going through chemo and my hair has started to fall out. I'm trying to process it mentally because our hair is so important to our female identity, but that's another conversation.
I guess I wanted to ask, what do you all do to cover it? Do you cover it at all? I'm thinking that now summer is coming I should probably wear hats or something to protect from the sun. But I thought maybe it could be fun to accessorize? What do you all prefer? Hats? Wigs? Scarves? Turbans? Nothing?
I'm open to any and all suggestions an advice! xx
