@LizziB I donโt have a partner but I have found if I donโt use my bipap then I feel awful. It took some time to get used to it but I notice the difference if I sleep without it

Hi Hetty,
Catch up after Covid backlog with the NHS taking a year off looking after patients is the real problem. I am not sure which hospital you will be attending but I note Addenbrooks are moving to a weekend serive to reduce the backlog. The test is normally over one night and then your problems start when you get your CPAP machine and many choices of mask. Take your time selecting your mask design as this the begining of hassle. Apart from the mask, you husband has to get use to looking like a space man going to bed and both mask and machine have their own unique noises to get use to. Maintainance and cleaning of mask and CPAC, plus you are connected to a tube all night. But you do get use to it and indeed so will your husband and the strange noises you get as air leaks occasionally. Good luck!

Hi Everyone.
I am a 57 year old tired lady who is suffering from sleep apnea (although still awaiting my sleep study findings ).
I have incredible insomnia, snore very loudly & stop breathing in the night on a regular basis.
it scares my poor partner bless him,but I am totally oblivious to it.
until I wake up with a start
probably gasping for breath.
thrn several trips to the loo through the night as it wakes me up.
help !!
a nights sleep would be so lovely.
I am suffering with the menopause too so double whammy.๐๐
mid there any other lovely people out there waiting for a proper diagnosis.
i mean I know I have it itโs clear to see & so does my 32 year old son who is just starting out on his journey.
any tips or just a chat would be great.
thanks
take care ๐
