@Courtney_J I pushed my partner to get diagnosed because of his horrible (and frightening) snoring where his breathing would stop. And he's completely knackered throughout the day and can barely function. I've seen him fall asleep eating his dinner more than a few times! He's currently got a mask that he can't stand so he doesn't wear it, we're hoping that they'll be able to find one that works better for him. I love him to bits but I need my sleep and peace of mind too!

@Courtney_J I have struggled with my weight and my type 2 diabetes for many years, but I wasn't fully aware of my sleep apnoea until a bit later. I think heavy weight and sleep apnoea often come together so I don't know why I wasn't diagnosed earlier, i guess I just assumed I was a snorer and that was it. Eventually during a routine visit with my GP I mentioned my headaches and sore throat in the mornings and he suggested I visit a sleep clinic, and one thing after another I found myself with a CPAP. The difference with and without the CPAP machine is light and day, I was so surprised. Right now I have the philips dreamstation and I'm very happy with it.
