Hello everyone,
How are you doing?
Positional therapy is a technique used to manage sleep apnoea by encouraging side-sleeping, which can help reduce symptoms for some people, especially those with positional obstructive sleep apnoea. For some, sleeping on their back can make breathing harder, while side-sleeping may lead to fewer breathing interruptions and better rest. 🛌
People who try positional therapy often use specialized pillows or wearable devices to encourage a specific sleep position. Some even use creative tricks, like sewing a tennis ball into their pyjamas to prevent rolling onto their back! But the effectiveness can vary from person to person, depending on the severity of their condition.
Have you tried positional therapy to manage your sleep apnoea? Did you notice any difference in your sleep quality or symptoms? What techniques or tools did you use to maintain a side-sleeping position?
